Well, we did it - an artist market convention organised in a week.

56 artists from all over Australia who were affected by the closure of the Twilight Market have come together in an event organised by Black Hole Cosplay Events and Cosplay Market Australia. There is a wide variety of art available. Come along and support the artists!

Visitor Information

This is a frequently asked question?

We could not be more excited to see you tomorrow!

Timing

The event will be running from 1pm until 9pm, and we encourage attendees to drop in over the day to allow for easier parking and less congestion.

Location

Newmarket Hall 212 Ashgrove Avenue, Ashgrove. Please enter the building from the field side, using the first glass door on the left.

Accessibility

The venue has a lift from the ground floor to the top which is capable of accommodating wheelchairs and mobility aids, with an accessible bathroom on the ground floor. Walkways on the market floor are planned to be 1.2m wide. Those with Companion Cards are permitted to bring one companion free of charge.

Parking/transport

There is limited parking on site and nearby streets. Northside trains are running replacement buses and inner city buses are also affected by updates, full information at these two links, please check your local routing;

Payments/ATM

There will be no onsite ATM, with the closest being the Newmarket Village. Many artists will have card facilities. There will be no WiFi onsite.

Attendee/Visitor Flow

As there is limited space inside the hall and we don’t want to squish you all in like sardines, you may have to queue for a short time before entering the venue as we try to keep the numbers at a reasonable level. The market is open for eight hours and we would encourage people to drop in throughout the afternoon to allow for easier parking and less congestion.

Cosplay rules

We appreciate you exercising common sense and look forward to seeing your costumes! While we do encourage people to come in cosplay, as this is a market focused event, we do have a couple rules to ensure everyone has a good time.

The Rules:

Rule 0: We reserve the right to decide if your cosplay is inappropriate for the market floor. We will refund you if suitable alterations are unable to be made. This is most likely to be due to oversized costumes or parts that stick out.

Rule 1: No real or realistic weapons at all.

Rule 2: Please no props, except those that can be stored in a backpack, bag or pocket.

Rule 3: Please no wings, tails, petticoats, trains or similar that might impede another person's movement in a crowded space, or may cause you to get caught up on a stalls display.
